Our products
The tools you use when training a dog, and then for life, make a difference! Fitting your dog with the right collar or harness and using an appropriate leash are essential to obtaining better results. We include a harness and leash on our training package plans to ensure the family member, puppy or adult, is wearing the right equipment. We can also advise on different harnesses and collars that the owners may want to look into for the future in the case of a young puppy.
Snuffle mat
Snuffle mats are one of the many interactive toys we suggest our clients use to provide enrichment for their dogs. After testing several commercial brands, we have decided to carry our own hand-made snuffle mats. They are made of high-quality materials, durable and washable, ensuring endless sniffing and kibble or treat foraging sessions to keep your dog busy and engaged. They are $25 the small one and $30 the large one.
Collars
Depending on how well your dog walks on the leash, a collar can be a comfortable and useful tool, and we can help you choose the right one for your dog. . We like wide soft collars that add an extra safety with double D-rings to clip the leash on. Martingale collars can also be helpful during walks, as well as quick-release or safe-release collars for every day in-home use in multiple-dog homes.
Leash
If you walk your dog taking into account her perspective the whole concept of the traditional walk changes: you’d be better off using a long leash attached to their collar or harness and let her sniff and enjoy the walk at her own pace, not yours. Using their noses and exploring is essential for their well being so just head out to the very best that nature in your area or along the sidewalk at your dog’s pace, that is one of the greatest gifts you can give your dog — it is so good for their soul and emotional balance. And you might just find it’s good for yours, too.
We love fitting our dogs and clients with a 6 or 9-feet long super-grip leash, we include it in our training packages, and we’ll instruct you on how to use the leash correctly for both you and your dog’s safety and comfort.
We carry a selection of the best European leashes available, send us a message if you are interested in checking them out. We HIGHLY DISCOURAGE the use of retractable leashes. We consider them DANGEROUS for the dog’s safety and yours, and counterproductive for the training work you and your dog are doing. Contact us for more info on this.
Harness
A harness is a very safe and comfortable tool for your dog to wear on your daily walks. A well-fitted harness distributes the pressure around the dog’s body and is a great aid in avoiding leash pulling. We prefer to use front closure harnesses as they are a better tool when teaching a dog to walk relaxed on the leash.
We carry a selection of very reliable harnesses, send us a message if you are interested in checking them out.
